PALAZZO ADRIANO – Those who are true movie buffs cannot fail to know and appreciate the village of Palazzo Adriano, a small Sicilian gem that hosted the filming of the Oscar-winning movie “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” by director Giuseppe Tornatore. How can we fail to remember the Sicilian village in the film and its famous square where stood majestically the cinematograph that was, in the film, the scene of encounters, tragedies and witness of broken dreams, today dense with memories and suggestions?<\/div>\n
The historic Umberto I Square was the site of several memorable scenes from the film featuring episodes from the lives of the inhabitants. On the occasion of the film festival<\/a>, a reenactment of one of the most famous scenes from the film work is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 11:

\n<\/em>. In the main town square, the setting that served as the backdrop for the picturesque scene of processing tomato extract exposed to the sun on wooden boards to dry will be reconstructed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A moment dedicated not only to the citizens who in the late 1980s lived with director Tornatore, his cast of actors and all the technicians who worked on the film, becoming part, if only for a few months, of the fascinating world of cinema, but also to photography enthusiasts and instagrammers who will want to immerse themselves in a photo tour to capture the re-enactment and share it in real time through the official hashtag #ParadisoFilmFest<\/a>.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Bagheria-born director was captivated by the magic of these places, its artistic beauty, the warmth of the people, and the uniqueness of the area. Even today one can easily identify the locations of the scenes, untouched and perfect despite the passage of time. Everything has remained unchanged and full of charm: from the characteristic stone walls of the houses to the passages under the arches.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
